paived.io · Fuel

Lane payments for fuel retailers.

Enrolled drivers pull up to your pump and it knows them. The fill settles to the enrolled account, with your loyalty rules applied. No card swipe at the dispenser. No loyalty card to scan. Your dispenser, your forecourt, your processor stay.

Fill up. The pump is paid.

Lane payments for fuel, above your existing forecourt.

A driver enrolls a vehicle once with paived.io. At any participating site, the forecourt camera recognizes the vehicle on approach and the dispenser is pre-authorized against the enrolled account. After the fill, the charge settles with your processor at your price, your loyalty offers applied. No card swipe. No app open. No PIN.

How it works

Enroll. Arrive. Settle.

01

Enroll

A driver enrolls a vehicle and a payment method once — on your loyalty app, your site, or paived.io. The enrollment carries across every site on the network.

02

Pull up to the pump

Your forecourt camera reads the plate. paived.io matches the vehicle to the enrolled account, looks up the active loyalty offers, and pre-authorizes the dispenser.

03

Fill up. Charge settles.

The fill runs, the meter stops, the charge lands on the enrolled card at your published per-gallon price with the loyalty discount applied. The receipt goes to the driver's inbox.

Use cases

Every driver is one identity on the rail.

Loyalty program members

Returning loyalty members are recognized at approach. Earned cents-off and member pricing apply automatically — no card, no app open, no kiosk button.

Fleet and commercial accounts

Fleet plates enroll under a single account with controls on time-of-day, dollar limit, and fuel grade. Every fill at every site on the network bills to that account.

In-cabin payments (future)

paived.io is built to age forward into OEM in-cabin and connected-vehicle rails. The plate is the bridge today; the in-cabin signal becomes a second source the same identity resolves through.

What stays

Your existing stack stays in place.

paived.io is the rail above whatever you run. It does not replace your dispenser, your forecourt controller, your loyalty platform, or your processor — and it doesn't ask you to migrate any of them.

Across the network

One enrollment. Every lane on the network.

A driver who enrolls at your sites doesn't enroll again the next time they wash, fuel up, drive through, park, or valet anywhere else on the paived.io network.

Mechanism
Lane payments, explained
Lane payments are vehicle-recognized transactions — authorized and settled by the vehicle's identity at the lane, not by a card, phone, or kiosk. Here's how they work, where they fit, and why they're the next payments category.

What is vehicle commerce?
Vehicle commerce is the category of transactions that happen because of or in proximity to a vehicle — wash, drive-thru, fuel, parking, valet. Here's how the category is defined, what makes it different from retail, and why it needs operator-neutral infrastructure.

Why operator-neutral matters
Vehicle commerce works as a network only when no single operator owns the rail. Here's what operator-neutral means in practice, why every major payments network became one, and what paived.io's contractual neutrality terms look like.

Cross-merchant identity: why one driver, every merchant changes the math
Most loyalty + payments systems lock identity to a single merchant. Vehicle commerce inverts that — the driver enrolls once, every merchant recognizes the same plate. Here's the network-effects argument, with the failure modes that every closed loyalty system has hit.

Plate vs phone: why license plates beat mobile apps for vehicle commerce
Vehicle commerce already has a universal hardware token bolted to every car: the license plate. Here's why the plate wins on speed, friction, fairness, and infrastructure cost compared to mobile-app-based payments — and where phones still play a role.
