SMS Terms

Last updated June 25, 2026

These SMS Terms describe the paived.io, Inc. (“paived.io,” “we,” “us”) text-message program — the automated account and transaction messages we send to Drivers on the paived.io network, how you opt in, and how to opt out at any time. They supplement, and are governed by, the paived.io Terms and Privacy Policy.

The program

paived.io sends automated, recurring transactional text messages to the mobile number on your paived.io Driver account. These are service messages about your own account and transactions on the network — they are not marketing or promotional messages. Program name: paived.io account alerts.

You opt in to these messages, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase.

What messages we send

The program currently includes:

  • Charge notices. When a vehicle you share is used and the visit is charged to your account, we may text the vehicle's Owner so the right driver can claim the charge within a short window.
  • Shared-driver alerts. When another authorized driver of your vehicle is charged, we may notify you, with the window to dispute the charge.
  • Payment and membership alerts. When a membership renewal does not go through, we text the payer a link to update the card on file before the membership lapses.
  • Vehicle-claim notices. When someone registers a plate already on your account — for example, after you sell a car — we may text you so you can confirm or contest the transfer.

The one-time codes we text when you sign in or enroll are a separate identity-verification service (Twilio Verify) and are sent whether or not you join this messaging program.

How you opt in

Opting in is voluntary. It is never requiredto create a paived.io account, sign in, or use any merchant's underlying service, and it is not a condition of any purchase.

To opt in, enroll at paived.io/join and check the optional consent box. The box is unchecked by default; signing up and getting your one-time code work whether or not you check it, and we send these program messages only to Drivers who have checked it. The box reads, in part: “I agree to receive recurring automated account and transaction text messages from paived.io … at the number I provide.”

Message frequency

Message frequency varies — these are triggered by your own activity on the network (a shared-vehicle visit, a declined renewal, a plate claim), so you only receive a message when one of those events applies to you.

Cost

paived.io does not charge you for these messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to stop messages (opt out)

You can opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any paived.io message and we will stop sending program messages to that number; you will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. You can also email support@paived.io and ask us to opt your number out.

Opting out stops the messages; it does not change how a visit is attributed or charged on the network (see the Privacy Policy, Section A.9). To rejoin, reply START.

Help

Reply HELP to any message, or email support@paived.io, for help with the messaging program.

Privacy

We do not share your mobile opt-in information or phone number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number with our messaging provider (Twilio) and the underlying mobile carriers only as needed to deliver the messages you have asked for. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Supported carriers

The program is supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes and contact

We may update these SMS Terms as the program develops; when we do, we will revise the date above. Questions can be sent to support@paived.io. These SMS Terms are part of, and incorporate, the paived.io Terms and Privacy Policy.
